Can God really love us
just the way we are?

The thought of such unconditional love is overwhelming, but that is exactly the kind of love God has for us.  No one is perfect - all have sinned; but because of God’s awesome love we are able to be forgiven of our sins and to have the promise of eternal life in Heaven with Him.

What is sin?
“. . . sin is lawlessness” (I John 3:4).
“All unrighteousness is sin . . .” (I John 5:17).

Who is guilty of sin?
“. . . for there is no one who does not sin . . .” (I Kings 8:46).
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us” (I John 1:8).

What are the consequences of sin?
“. . . the soul who sins shall die” (Ezekiel 18:4).
“For the wages of sin is death . . .” (Romans 6:23).

What Can Be Done About Sin?
The glad tidings and good news of the Gospel is that there is hope for the sinner.  It doesn’t matter how deep in sin you are, there is a way out.  Your past may haunt you night and day but there is hope for you.
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).

Give God a chance to help you.
He loves you so much that He gave His Son for you.
“For God so loved the world [including you!] that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

Here is how to get acquainted with Jesus Christ, God’s Son!
Come to Him sincerely prepared to forsake your past sins.
“Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out . . .”  (Acts 3:19).

Next, confess your sins to Him.
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (I John 1:9).

Invite Him in.
After you have forsaken and repented of your past sins and have confessed to Christ your need for Him, invite Him into your heart.  Accept His shed blood as an atonement for your sins by faith.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8).

Live for Him!
Determine in your heart to live for Christ.  Make Him Lord of your life.  Begin attending a full-Gospel church.  Read your Bible and pray, and God will keep you from sin!

For God so loved the world
that He gave
His only begotten Son,
that whoever
believes in Him
should not perish
but have everlasting life.
